On Wednesday, 12th August, two of our Year 9 EPro8 teams traveled to Takapuna Grammar School to compete in the interschool engineering and robotics competition for the very first time. It was an action-packed day of hands-on problem solving, and both teams represented our school with pride and determination!
Team Roto – Isha Nair, Nika Daneshvar Ghorbani, Isabella Gillego, and Erin Yao – delivered an outstanding performance, securing 3rd place overall. Thanks to their impressive result, they have qualified for the semi-finals, held at Northcote College on 20th August.
Team Uru – Jiamin Khaw, Elly Li, Anahya Garimella, and Hifza Abubakkar – also showed fantastic teamwork and perseverance, earning a very respectable 7th place finish.
Huge congratulations to all eight students for their hard work, and a special thank you to their supervising teacher, Alex Van Der Loos, for guiding and supporting the teams. We are very proud of our STEAM girls!
