Congratulation to Lena Hamblyn-Ough who represented Westlake Girls in the Harlequins Secondary Schools Open Water Champs recently. The event was held at Mission Bay as part of the Banana Boat Ocean Swim Series. Lena competed in both the 3.2 km and the 800m Swim placing first to take home the Gold medal in both events in the 16-19 yrs.

Back in the pool at the 2023 Apollo Projects New Zealand Age Group Championships held during the school holidays, swimmers from across New Zealand travelled to the Hawkes Bay to compete for National Titles.  Lena Hamblyn-Ough along with students Savannah-Eve and Mia Stanley-Huny represented the Coast Swim Club at this event which is the main event of the year for age group swimmers in New Zealand.
