Senior Treble Voices Festival – 2 July, 7.30 pm

Senior TVF 2026 POSTER

Wrap up warm and join us for a spectacular evening of choral music at the Westlake Girls High School Events Centre on Thursday, 2 July 2026 at 7.30 pm. The Senior Treble Voices Festival is proud to present ‘Mid-Winter Christmas Capers’, offering a fun take on a snowy Christmas during a New Zealand winter with a uniquely Kiwi twist. 250 young treble singers from nine different choirs will be gathering for an afternoon of collaborative rehearsals and workshops before presenting this fantastic public showcase.

The performance spotlights each choir showcasing pieces from their own distinct repertoires. Audiences will enjoy individual sets from Cantare and Cigno Voce from Westlake Girls High School, Aria and Voce Castello from Macleans College, The Leona Ensemble from Takapuna Grammar School, Serenata from Rangitoto College, Capriccio from Carmel College, and Stella Voce from Long Bay College.

We are also deeply honoured to introduce our international guests, the Gondwana Indigenous Children’s Choir from Cairns, Queensland. As Australia’s celebrated national ensemble of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performers, they will share their own exceptional repertoire, weaving First Nations languages and stories into choral arrangements.

The evening culminates in a grand finale as all the choirs unite on stage to sing spectacular massed items together. These combined pieces will be brought to life by our legendary guest conductors – world-renowned conductor of the Gondwana Indigenous Children’s Choir, Lyn Williams AM, and acclaimed local choral clinician Dr. Karen Grylls ONZM.

Don’t miss this powerful celebration of festive joy and cross-cultural friendships brought to you through choral music!
