The Westlake Equinox Concert is held annually at Westlake Boys High School towards the end of Term One. It provides a wonderful opportunity for our young musicians to showcase their progress to an appreciative audience after a few months of dedicated rehearsals.
Our Westlake Girls High School musicians performed within our premier mixed ensembles: the Westlake Symphony Orchestra, Westlake Chamber Orchestra, Westlake Concert Band, Westlake Big Band, and Choralation Choir, as well as Cantare as our premier upper voice Choir. While the evening was originally intended to be an ‘al fresco’ performance in the Westlake Boys High School quad, the stormy weather meant a move indoors to the auditorium. Despite the change of venue, we had a fantastic turnout, with a large audience of friends and family providing a warm and supportive atmosphere for our performers.
We wish our Premier Instrumental ensembles all the best on their upcoming tour to China in the holidays, and are looking forward to hearing about their collaborative performances and successes whilst abroad!
