Congratulations to our students who competed in the Auckland Schools Rogaine Orienteering Championships at Muriwai on Sunday 14 June. Year 9 student Lacey Gornall and Year 10 student Eva Scott achieved an outstanding 3rd place in the Year 10/11 Girls Team category, collecting an impressive 760 points in the 90-minute navigation challenge.

In the individual competitions, Cayleigh Blackburn had an excellent performance in the Year 12/13 Girls category, placing 4th with 690 points, narrowly missing a podium finish.

Camryn Gornall placed 14th in the Year 10/11 Girls category with 530 points, while Brooke Day finished 17th with 430 points.

Rogaine Orienteering is a cross-country navigation sport where competitors use map-reading, compass skills, and strategic route planning to visit as many controls as possible within a set time limit, earning points for each control found.

Well done to all of our competitors on representing the school so well with their teamwork, determination, and navigation skills.
