Westlake Girls Premier Rugby Team beat Rangitoto College in the Grand Final of the North Harbour Kyocera Girls Youth 17 Grand Finals last Monday to complete an astonishing unbeaten run for the entire season. The team were outstanding led by Captain Mari-Lynn Connelly and Vice-Captain Freya Beaumont.

Special thanks to Ingrid Malifa (Harper’s mum) for being the Team physio throughout the season so the players were able to compete hard and stay strong because of the great treatment they were receiving on the sidelines every single game, and Ms Mackie for driving the girls to the games.
A special wholehearted thanks goes to Shakespeare Orthodontics for supplying the entire squad with state of the art mouthguards. Westlake Premier Rugby now play the Northland/North Harbour Finals on Monday 17th August against Bay of Islands College. Go Westlake!!
