The Cygnet Year 10 Netball class came together as a team yesterday to take on Adelaide’s Seymour College in a netball exchange at St Cuthbert’s School.
The Young Swans, comprising the school’s top Year 10 netballers from Premier 1, Premier 2, and Year 10 teams, struggled to find their rhythm in the opening half. Seymour College capitalised on their opportunities to take a 14–8 lead into the halftime break.
The Swans responded strongly in the third quarter, lifting their intensity and teamwork to level the scores at 17–17 and set up a thrilling final 10 minutes.

Seymour College, a private girls’ school with a roll of just under 1,000 students, showed composure in the closing stages despite the Swans’ spirited comeback. Westlake Girls won the exchange 24–20.
