It was a pleasure to host our recent Pō Talanoa – Fono Pasifika on March 18th – a special evening that brought our school and community closer together. We were grateful to welcome so many parents and whānau; your presence made for a meaningful night of sharing stories and aspirations for our children.
The evening felt like a true gathering of family—warm, relaxed, and full of good energy. Through talanoa, we had the chance to listen deeply to our families. These honest conversations are already helping us shape new ways to support the success and identity of our Pasifika students
Highlights of the Night
- We shared information about the support available here at school. Our goal is to ensure every family feels confident navigating the school system with our fanau Pasifika.
- We were proud to introduce our Pasifika student leaders for the year. It’s a privilege to watch them serve their peers and represent our community with such heart.
- We took some time to acknowledge students who had shown commitments to their studies. It was lovely to celebrate their dedication and encourage a quiet pride in their academic journey.
- Talanoa session truly gave our families the opportunity to share their thoughts, aspirations for their daughters, ways they can help out and many more.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such the constructive feedback and uplifting talanoa.
