Kia ora, everybody,
As we move through the final weeks of the term, our assemblies this week have taken time to reflect on International Women’s Day, which was celebrated last Sunday.
At our girls’ school, this is always a meaningful opportunity to acknowledge the courage, determination, and vision of the women who have come before us, and to recognise the opportunities now available to all of us because of their efforts.
We have also been talking with students about the importance of supporting one another — lifting each other up, celebrating success, and creating an environment where everyone feels able to pursue their ambitions.
At the same time, our school community has been touched by a tragedy affecting one of our families and those close to them. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time, and we continue to hold them in our care and support. In moments like these, the strength and compassion of a community become especially important, and we are grateful for the kindness our students and staff show one another each day.
As we approach the end of the term, it is a good time to remember that small habits matter. The everyday choices — being prepared for class, showing kindness, managing time well, and taking care of ourselves and others — build the foundation for success and wellbeing. These little actions, repeated consistently, make a significant difference over time.
Thank you to our students, staff, and families for the way you continue to support one another and contribute to the positive spirit of our school.
Ngā manaakitanga,
