The Westlake Girls Dance Troupes have been rehearsing all year for the National Dance Challenge Competition which took place on Friday, 14 June.
All of our troupes, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, K-pop, Bollywood and Latin competed against other schools from around Auckland in this competition. Our Latin troupe won a well-deserved second place in the Variety category! Our other troupes gained challenger awards and did a fantastic job representing Westlake Girls High School.
We were the only school with troupes in every category at NDC 2024. We are super proud of all the hard work the students have put in. Our troupes have two more competitions coming up – so we are straight back to rehearsals!
