Our Year 13 Business Studies students participated in the annual Young Enterprise event, Kickstart Friday the 17th of February at the AUT North Campus. It was a fabulous day that gave students a great overview of the opportunities, resources and competition that will follow in the year ahead.
Students took part in team exercises that drive the students into increasing communication and encourages students to take leadership and work together as a team. It was also an opportunity for students to meet other budding Young Enterprise students from other school to exchange ideas and connect with their local Regional Coordinator.
Following the Kickstart event, the young entrepreneurs will continue to work on bringing their business and products to life. The teams are now working towards being in the top six teams who will compete at the Regional Finals in October, pitching their ideas/products to a panel of judges to represent Auckland at the National Final in Wellington at the end of the year.
We look forward to seeing what business ideas our students come up with over the coming weeks.
