From the Principal

Kia ora Parents and Caregivers,

It was a busy last couple of weeks of the school year and on Thursday 8th December we celebrated our Junior Prize-giving at the Events Centre. It was lovely to finish the school year celebrating the success of our Year 9 and 10 students with friends and family. We also had a special assembly on Monday 5th of November where our Year 10 student Julia Wilkins was presented with her prize for winning the High School category for the Barfoot and Thompson’s Young Author Challenge annual writing competition.

To our Year 13 students, I’m sure 2023 will be full of exciting new adventures and we’ll look forward to hearing about your success over the coming years.

To all other students, I encourage you to relax, rewind and replenish. I’ll look forward to seeing you bright and enthusiastic on Tuesday 31st of January 2023 for the start of the school year.

To all Westlake Girls friends and whānau, I hope that whatever you do over Christmas and the summer holidays, that it involves people and places that are special to you. I wish you and your family safe travels, and a happy start to 2023.

Kindest regards

Jane Stanley (Principal)
