We had two teams head down to compete at the picturesque Takapoto Estate for the Pegasus Cup Secondary Schools Show Jumping competition. It was such an exciting opportunity to compete at this prestigious venue as world-class events are held here where there is not usually the opportunity for young, up-and-coming riders to compete. The teams had great results over the two days and the Westlake Flying Swans team placed 8th overall out of 45 teams.
Final results:
Samantha Syme – 1st 60cm 2phase, 4th 70cm Accumulator and 10th 70cm Equitation
Tamsin Lockie – 2nd 1m Accumulator
Charlotte Lockie – 2nd 1.10m 2phase, 6th Equitation and 7th Accumulator.
Kaleisha Iremonger – 5th 90cm Equitation
Rhea Bourhill – 9th 70cm Equitation
Zya Mead – 7th 60cm Accumulator
Zya and her Thoroughbred mare also came 4th in the Best Performed Off the track Thoroughbred award.
Lilly Lewis also had some great rounds on her young horse.
The team would like to thank Tanya Syme for managing us.
