Lucy Brunton has been selected for the NZ Judo team to compete in Perth. Over the weekend Lucy competed at the Judo New Zealand National Championships in Christchurch in which she gained two national titles, U57 Junior Womens and U57 Female Cadets.

Her crowning achievement was being awarded her first Dan (black belt) after completing her kata to the required standard. Her score for this kata placed her second overall (silver medal).
