On Saturday 1 July, we were given the opportunity to visit and have a tour of the North Shore Aero Club, meet many industry professionals as well as taken to fly in a four person plane. It was a very interesting insight into what working in the air force industry would involve, such as the kind of planes we would be able to fly, how they function and what you have to think about while in the air. As potential future pilots all of these things are integral to gaining confidence in our future professions.
